UFC fighter receives massive bonus after getting bitten during bout

Pain is a price in the UFC, but Andre Lima earned a “bite bonus” from Dana White for his hard-fought fight with Igor Severino.

Yes, the bonus is exactly what you think. Lima was bitten by Severino, who was making his UFC debut in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

A Nevada State Athletic Commission doctor examined the inside of Lima’s biceps and determined that Severino bit Lima. The bite marks were so clear that they were caught on camera.

The fight was quickly stopped, as biting is not allowed under any circumstances during a fight.

Later that night, White posted a screenshot of Lima’s Story on his Instagram Story, which showed Lima quickly getting a tattoo of the bite mark on her arm. Around the mark was a quote that said, “I got a little bonus.”

White captioned the post: “I was going to give him 25,000 yen. Now I’m going to give him 50,000 yen. This is awesome!”

White also confirmed that Severino, who had never lost in his career, was released by the UFC for biting Lima.

“Those were two up-and-coming, undefeated fighters,” White told ESPN. “If you’re frustrated and want to get out of a fight, there are many ways to do it, but the worst thing you can do is bite your opponent. Now you’re going to get cut and lose the biggest opportunity of your life. Needless to say… He’s going to be in big trouble with the NSAC.”

Lima spoke about the biting incident after the game.

“We were having a very good exchange at that point, but then he tried to take me down,” Lima told reporters. MMA Junkie. “I fell down, but I got back up. As I stood up, I screamed in pain. It was a very sharp pain. I really thought the fence had gone into my body. That’s what happened. thought.”

“I started screaming, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa,’ and they started looking at me,” he continued. “I was like, I don’t know what’s going on here.
