FBI discloses supposed plan to target White House UFC event along with other major news stories

UFC Freedom 250 Marks Historic Event at the White House

The UFC Freedom 250 event has made headlines as it became the first professional sports event to unfold on the White House lawn. For mixed martial arts enthusiasts, this was a unique opportunity to witness how the Trump administration and event organizers collaborated to create a high-profile occasion.

“UFC Fight House: The Making of the Greatest Fight of All Time” is a two-part documentary now available for streaming. This series dives into the intricate planning and logistics that allowed the White House to successfully host such a significant event, including the construction of The Crow, which accommodates thousands.

Included in the documentary are exclusive insights from UFC President Dana White and President Donald Trump, along with several prominent allies. White compared the entire project to a Hollywood production, expressing pride in the achievements made by his team.

“You couldn’t have written a better script,” White stated. “If we were to script this like a movie, this is a documentary of what actually happened. If this were a movie script, we would make bullish statements about a hundred things that happened. This is pretty amazing. I never imagined something like this would happen. I never imagined we would be asked to do an event at the White House.”

He elaborated, saying, “When President Trump says, ‘Let’s do something,’ and you agree to it, now we have to make it happen. There’s nothing we can’t do. You got the idea of what we wanted to do. Now this is reality.”

Planning for this pivotal sporting event took about nine months, designed to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary. Trump noted in the documentary that the legacy of UFC Freedom 250 could outlast many Independence Days.

According to Trump, “This will be remembered as one of the greatest sporting events, probably one of the greatest of all time.” The viewer count seemed to validate the ambitious goals set by the organizers, with the UFC reporting an estimated 34 million total global viewers, marking it as one of the most watched events in sports history. Paramount+ alone recorded 17 million viewers in the U.S. and Latin America.

White shared his thoughts on why hosting a UFC event at the White House feels important, referencing America’s long history of combat dating back to the Revolutionary War. “Americans have been fighting since day one, since the birth of America,” White said. “We fought to gain independence and build this country. It started with a fight. So to play on the White House lawn on America’s 250th birthday, no other sport would make sense.”

In another segment of the documentary, viewers get a glimpse into the experiences of UFC executive producer Craig Borsari, who is recognized as the “architect” of Freedom 250’s production. Caught sipping his morning coffee, Borsari reflected on the high-energy atmosphere surrounding event preparations. “When you enjoy your coffee, the rest of the day is empty,” he admitted. “Planning for an event of this magnitude gives you a rush of adrenaline. You want that adrenaline. You want a little bit of that jitters because it keeps you sharp.”
