A spaceship-like vehicle reportedly en route to a festival in New Mexico has been stopped for at least the second time.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol officers posted photos of the unusual vehicle to Facebook, writing, “It’s not every day you pull over a UFO.”
According to the post, Oklahoma Highway Patrol Officer Ryan VanVleck pulled over the “UFO” on Monday for a “license plate obstruction.”
VanVleck took a selfie with the unique-looking car.
The “UFO Festival,” where the spaceship driver is believed to have been headed, will run from July 5 to 7 and celebrate “interest in extraterrestrial phenomena and an empathy for the wonders that await beyond the stars,” according to the event’s website.
Participants can take part in the “AlienFest” film screenings and hands-on events at the International UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell, New Mexico.
Missouri sheriffs appear to have stopped the same man, driving the same vehicle, during a traffic stop on an interstate last Friday.
“These friendly humanoids are here for peace and are heading west to Roswell, New Mexico for the festival,” Crawford County Sheriff’s Office officials wrote in a Facebook post.
Officers described the encounter as “out of this world.”
The driver was observed committing a lane violation.
The vehicle had expired Indiana license plates, according to the sheriff’s office.
“The defendant understood that a lane violation was a possibility given the wind and traffic on the interstate, as well as the size and aerodynamics of the vehicle,” Crawford County Sheriff’s Office spokesman and Deputy Sheriff’s Maj. Adam Carnall said in an emailed statement to Fox News Digital.
The driver received a written warning for the offence.
“Given how personable the driver was and how interesting the vehicle was, we decided to make a fun social media post for the community. We hope it’s a great interaction and a safe journey to your destination,” Carnall said.
