Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska captured in emotional video before her murder

A video showing Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, who was tragically murdered, captures her joyful moments spent with friends—playing cards, cooking, and celebrating holidays together.

In the video, 22-year-old Salzka is seen enjoying drinks by the pool with her boyfriend, Stanislav Niklizia. She shared it with the tags “forever young” and “always loved.”

This heartwarming footage sparked a deep emotional response from many viewers. Some expressed gratitude for seeing her vibrant life, especially after learning about the horrifying circumstances surrounding her death, which was allegedly shared by the homeless career criminal DeCarlos Brown, 34.

One Instagram user reflected, “I think a lot of people appreciate these final moments of her life; it’s nice to see her happy.” Another remarked, “Thank you for sharing a glimpse of beautiful Irina’s life.” A third added, “It’s comforting to witness how much she was loved. I can’t imagine the pain for those close to her. Rest in peace, angel.”

This video came to light as Salzka’s uncle spoke about his grief over her tragic death and the pain of witnessing the footage of her brutal murder.

He described the viewing experience as horrific, stating, “I watched the video. It was just terrible, absolutely terrible. She didn’t deserve it.” He recounted how Salzka seemed completely unaware of the danger when she simply took the first available seat.

The uncle, who was out of town at the time of Salzka’s death, recalled his wife urging him to return home immediately upon hearing the news.

He has called for significant changes in how such situations are managed, emphasizing the need for leadership to take action. He mentioned that Salzka had expressed gratitude for her life in America and how happy she felt here shortly before her death.

On the night of her killing, Brown, arrested for her murder on August 22, was also charged with causing deathly harm in the mass transit system by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in western North Carolina. This federal charge could potentially lead to the death penalty, according to the Justice Department’s recent statements.
