‘Uncooperative’ Texas teen found covered in someone else’s dried blood after car wreck: sheriff

A tight-lipped Texas teenager was found bloody by police in his broken-down pickup truck this week, but baffled investigators and a local newspaper say the bright red blood stains belonged to someone else.

Aaron Richard, 18, was found inside a white 1997 Chevrolet pickup truck Monday night after police were dispatched to a report of a crash on Interstate 20 in Fort Worth.

According to a statement posted to Facebook, officers observed “large amounts of dried blood on the pickup truck and the suspect.”

The bed of the pickup truck had writing written all over the back window.

“There is significant damage to the driver’s side door, tailgate and left front quarter panel,” the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office noted.

Richard questioned the boy about the source of the blood, but the boy became silent and “uncooperative.” Walmart Auto Care Center A work shirt with a name tag saying Anthony.

Officers also found blood stains “along the driver’s side A-frame and the outside of the bed.”

Investigators were shocked to find that bloodstains found on Richard and his car were not his, nor were they from the accident that damaged the car, the release said. Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Richard was arrested for DUI and taken to the Ron Evans Correctional Center. He was subsequently released on $500 bail while the investigation continues.

The sheriff’s office has not said whether the bloodied mystery man was killed or if he is still in danger.

The agency has also not released details of Richard’s accident.

Local media reported that Richard was serving six months’ probation on a disorderly conduct charge in Haltom City, about five miles outside Fort Worth.

Investigators are continuing to investigate the incident and are asking for the public’s help in determining the source of the bloodstains and the circumstances of Richard’s accident.
