Undocumented immigrant and 15 others accused of election offenses, according to the DOJ

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has revealed a new set of allegations regarding election crimes, which includes a case featuring an undocumented immigrant.

In a press release issued on Monday, the DOJ detailed allegations involving numerous individuals from various countries, including Pakistan, Portugal, France, Peru, Jamaica, and Cuba.

‘Those who undermine the integrity of elections in America will face the full force of the law,’ the DOJ stated.

Forrest Scott Woody, a 68-year-old resident of Hendersonville, North Carolina, is accused of voting twice in the 2024 election—once in North Carolina and again in Alabama.

Meanwhile, Silvia Delgado Phelps, a 78-year-old legal permanent resident from Peru, faces charges for allegedly casting votes in several elections in Baldwin County, Alabama, even though she isn’t a U.S. citizen.

Additionally, Hacina Saadi, a 48-year-old illegal immigrant from France, has been charged “by information with voting by an alien during the 2024 election,” according to DOJ documentation.

Two other lawful permanent residents from Pakistan and one from Portugal were likewise charged for similar offenses.

In another case, Staciann Pollion Davis, a 42-year-old lawful permanent resident from Jamaica, allegedly voted in Alabama’s general election despite not being a U.S. citizen.

Another individual, Andre’s Garcia, a 64-year-old lawful permanent resident from Cuba, is accused of voting in at least 15 elections, including a minimum of 13 federal elections, over the past two decades.

Cary Ann Patterson, a 59-year-old lawful permanent resident from Britain, also allegedly voted in at least 10 elections as an alien, according to records from the Gallia County Board of Elections in Ohio.

A 69-year-old individual from Pakistan has been arrested for allegedly casting votes in six elections, while a 63-year-old from the Philippines was detained for suspected illegal voting. Both were charged in the Northern District of Ohio.

“We are committed to ensuring that those who disrupt the integrity of America’s elections are held accountable,” a White House post noted regarding this announcement.
