Officials revealed that the truck driver implicated in a crash that resulted in three fatalities in Florida had been granted a work permit during the Biden administration. The driver, Haljindersin, was arrested in Stockton, California, for three counts of vehicle homicide and reportedly entered the United States illegally.
Tricia McLaughlin, the deputy director of homeland security, mentioned that Haljindersin had been denied job approval under the Trump administration back on September 14, 2020. It’s noted that he crossed into California from Mexico back in 2018.
