UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was shot Wednesday in New York City on his way to the company's annual investor day. The company, the insurance arm of UnitedHealth Group, canceled the conference.
The NYPD quickly informed the public that the killing was a targeted attack, and a national investigation is underway. On Friday, law enforcement confirmed to Fox News that the murder suspect had left New York City.
