School officials are “in an impossible situation in the face of unknowns about what will happen in the future,” said Kim Burrag, a board member of the Ohio University Alumni Association. Wall Street Journal.
Trump's Department of Education announced Monday that 60 universities are currently investigating “anti-Semitic discrimination and harassment,” Fox News Digital reported this week. This change comes as the Trump administration moves to target the university system and federal government DEI.

The sudden threat to federal government funding university programs has prompted some schools to cancel graduate events, hiring staff freezes, and even withdrawing student admission offers.
West Virginia University has announced that students have recognized their PhD due to the Trump administration's policy measures. Pharmaceutical-Sciences doctoral programs in particular will revoke their offers.
“Our country's research universities cannot “maintain research programs essential to continued national prosperity” without continued funding from federal agencies,” West Virginia University spokesman April Cowl told the Wall Street Journal.
“In recent years, I have felt that all of these jobs were worthless,” Gracie Hines, a future student at West Virginia University, told the Journal that she received an offer that was revoked by the university. “I was really heartbroken and saddened about it.”
West Virginia University did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.

Some professors offer potential doctoral degrees. Student advice: Do not start a doctoral program.
“It's a waste of investment,” Joseph Alboreda Velazquez, an associate professor at Harvard Medical School, told The Wall Street Journal.
