A conservative student at the University of Texas is said to have been attacked by a trans student who swings around with a bicycle lock as a weapon.
Turning Point USA Chapter Chairman Paigin Imann filmed the incident Monday at the University of Texas, Dallas University. The footage shows the suspect identified by authorities as 20-year-old Liam Tam Nuguen, who is grabbed by a cameraman before swinging the bike lock.
Nuguen, also identified by the name Alyssa, was arrested and booked at Colin County Jail on the same day.
According to the Dallas Observer, the suspect was charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, with one more count of trying to steal a weapon from an officer and one count of assault by a peace officer.
Turning Point USA posted a video of the incident on X, writing that the attacker “stripped Page in his head with a metal bike lock and hit her with enough strength to smash the phone.”
Another student, Grace, destroyed the phone in the incident, according to the student organization.
“Paige has filed a police report with the university and authorities take the matter seriously when searching for suspects,” Turning Point USA said.
When “Ingraham Angle” appeared on Tuesday, Neumann was opened up about the experience and confirmed that she had suffered a head injury from the incident.
“It hit the back of my head,” Neumann said. “That's exactly what happened. It almost hit me around my neck.
“If he had aimed a bit, I might have been paralyzed. I think he wanted to kill me.”
Conservatives also said they did nothing to cause the incident, claiming they told him “no words at all” before the attacks occurred.
“I [was] I'm just talking to my officers the same as me every week,” Neumann said. “I said Zero to him and he started attacking me. He shook the bike key. It hit our table, our phone was destroyed and my head was seriously injured.”
Neumann's head still hurts from the incident, she said, and she plans to see the doctor about the injury soon.
“It hurts… I'm going to complete the x-rays tomorrow to make sure I'm fine, but it definitely hurts,” she said.
