University of Texas students disturbingly celebrate the murder of Charlie Kirk: ‘Genuine evil’

Students at the University of Texas at Austin reacted to the murder of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk with surprising responses.

Some expressed that they felt positive about the shooting, with comments like, “Did you see Charlie Kirk just shot and killed?” and replies such as, “That’s good,” and “Someone had to do that.” It was quite jarring to hear.

One student remarked that it was a sign that things happen for a reason, saying, “No, I think things will happen for a purpose. That’s how it’s over if his life is over.”

Another individual went further, using harsh language to describe Kirk, while only one student showed any sign of grief, suggesting that a culture of hatred had led to this violent act.

This student noted, “I think the left has spouted so much hatred and brainwashed many people into doing such stupid things.” He expressed concern about how public sentiment was shifting, adding, “I think it’s a sign of what liberalism has done to American society. It leads to a total moral disintegration.”

In interviews, it was reported that the reactions from students were overwhelmingly in favor of the event, making it all the more alarming. The atmosphere at the university seemed charged, as students appeared almost confrontational about Kirk’s demise.
