Former President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt on Saturday. Shortly after taking the stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, shots rang out. The former president was hit in the ear and fell to the ground. Secret service pounced into action. After several moments of uncertainty, security brought Trump to his feet and quickly moved him to vehicles that rushed him to the hospital. News reports also indicated one rally goer had been killed by a gunshot wound to the head and a two other rally goers were critically wounded.
