US apprehended ‘top terrorist’ behind Abbey Gate bombing

President Trump announced that the US had arrested “top terrorists” responsible for the fatal bombing outside Kabul Airport during the Biden administration's chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021.

“Three and a half years ago, ISIS terrorists killed 13 American service members and countless others in the bombing of the monastery,” Trump said in a speech at a joint session of Congress.

“Tonight we are pleased to announce that we have arrested a top terrorist who is responsible for the atrocities,” the president revealed. “And he's heading here now to stand up to the swift sword of American justice.”

Trump thanked the Pakistani government for helping them arrest the “monster,” adding that it was a “very important day” for the Goldstar family affected by the attack.
