Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Senator Marco Rubio reached out to Asim Munier, the Secretary of the Pakistani Army, on Friday, urging for a de-escalation of the situation.

A spokesperson from the U.S. State Department mentioned that Rubio also expressed support for initiating “constructive” discussions between the two nations to “prevent future conflicts.”
