US sprinter Chris Robinson experiences surprising wardrobe issue but still comes out on top.

Despite facing some pretty embarrassing equipment issues, American runner Chris Robinson managed to cross the finish line first.

During the 400m hurdles at the Ostrava Golden Spike Meet in the Czech Republic on Tuesday, Robinson realized that his private parts were completely exposed. He tried adjusting his shorts while sprinting, but eventually realized that fixing it mid-race was impossible. Instead of succumbing to embarrassment, he focused on winning.

His finishing time was just a bit slower than his personal best.

Robinson built a solid lead, but Brazilian runner Masteus Lima nearly caught up with him, also dealing with his own issues. In a nail-biting finish, Robinson managed to win by just 0.06 seconds.

After crossing the finish line, he was visibly exhausted and did a somersault on the track. He then smiled and shook his head, clearly amused by what had just happened.

Known as “the anomaly,” Robinson is a first-year professional athlete who competed in college track in Alabama from 2022 to 2024. He gained quite a bit of recognition during his time with the Crimson Tide.

A native of Tallahassee, Florida, he was the 2023 national champion at this event and earned accolades as a first-team All-American and first-team All-SEC that same year.

At 24 years old, Robinson began his college career at Louisiana Tech, later moving to South Plains College in Texas before his time in Alabama.

This year, he participated in his first Grand Slam Track event in Kingston, Jamaica, in April, and followed that up in May with another event in Miami, where he finished second in the 400-meter dash against Brazil’s Allison Dos Santos. Those performances led him to Ostrava, known for its prestigious status in the World Athletics Continental Tour.
