US sting snares armed felon smugglers tied to foreign prison gang, cartel: cops

Three former inmates, including a self-proclaimed coordinator of a migrant smuggling operation, were arrested in a sting targeting members of a multinational gang, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Arturo “Tadeo” Ramirez Manzano, 27, Mario Ivan Ramirez, 21, and Corina Hernandez, 30, all of El Paso, were charged with felony counts of unlawful possession and manufacture of a firearm by a felon. . Controlled substance delivered on Friday, authorities say told KFOX 14.
