US takes out 3 suspected narco-terrorists in latest Eastern Pacific operation

U.S. Forces Target Suspected Narco-Terrorists in Eastern Pacific

U.S. forces recently launched their third attack in just a few days, targeting a vessel linked to suspected narco-terrorists in the Eastern Pacific. This operation resulted in the death of three individuals said to be part of a drug-trafficking network, as reported by U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM).

The strike focused on a ship associated with what SOUTHCOM identifies as a terrorist organization. However, specifics about the identities of those killed or the exact groups involved haven’t been disclosed.

In its statement, SOUTHCOM remarked, “Intelligence officials have confirmed that the vessel was traversing known drug trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific Ocean and was involved in drug-related activities.” The command confirmed that three male narco-terrorists were killed during this operation.

Interestingly, the command also noted that U.S. forces suffered no casualties during the strike.

This assault is part of a sequence of actions; just earlier this week, the U.S. military conducted a similar operation in the same region.

Earlier reports indicated that two individuals believed to be involved in drug trafficking were killed earlier in another strike on Monday, followed by four suspected narco-terrorists in a Tuesday operation.

SOUTHCOM has been intensifying airstrikes against suspected drug-smuggling vessels in recent months, as part of broader efforts to dismantle cartel-related trafficking networks that pose threats to U.S. interests.

This ongoing military focus reflects a commitment to counter-narcotics operations that aim to disrupt these illicit activities in Latin America and the Caribbean.
