During a protest at the University of Southern California on Wednesday night, authorities arrested 93 people who refused to comply with the university’s request to leave the area. If they refuse to leave, it will be considered trespassing.

Los Angeles Police Department Lt. Kelly Muniz confirmed that water bottles and objects were thrown at officers. Additionally, one person was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

“There was an altercation in some parts of the protest area and one person was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon,” Muniz said. “So that arrest actually happened in addition to the trespassing arrest that we’re working on.”

Captain Muniz further stated that no injuries were reported on either side.

It is unclear when USC will reopen campus.
