USMNT Wins Back-To-Back CONCACAF Nations League Championships After Beating Canada In Final, 2-0

In DJ Khaled’s words… “another one.”

The US Men’s National Soccer Team defeated Canada in Sunday night’s final game to clinch the CONCACAF Nations League title. 2-0.

Leading the way for the Americans with their respective goals were Chris Richards (12′) and Foralin Balogun (34′), who recently joined the American football program from England.

Despite Canada’s superior possession percentage of 64%-36%, the USA managed to take more shots on 15-12 goals to ultimately win a close game from beginning to end. .

Mexico beat Panama in the third-place match 1-0.

What a finely tuned machine America has been throughout this tournament.

Well, I understand that the quality of talent we played is nowhere near the level of France or Argentina, but the USA lost. It was impressive. And while swimming in all this glory, I was led to a compelling question. Is it really okay to return the key to Greg Berhalter?

I understand that he led the United States to the 2021 CONCACAF Nations League title, but I personally feel that the team is better off without Berhalter involved. 2021 wasn’t going to be like 2023, so what I’m saying is… it needs to be considered. And more importantly, do we really want this toxicity back into the program? (Related: Report: Greg Verhalter returns as US men’s soccer coach, one of the dumbest decisions our program ever made)

I’m not trying to rain on our parade, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried about our future under Berhalter’s leadership – the Golden Age.

But anyway, it feels good to add another trophy to this case.
