Here we have to give credit to the women. These numbers are impressive.
I personally wasn’t sure what to expect after seeing so many people saying they wouldn’t watch or weren’t interested (and no, I didn’t watch the game myself as I was out with my family on Friday night) so I wasn’t surprised by the low numbers.
We weren’t surprised by the high numbers, but what about this one? Almost record breaking?
Yes, to be honest, I was a little taken aback. (Related: Joel Embiid Marries Sports Illustrated Model Girlfriend Anne De Paula)
The USWNT managed to earn a golden rating despite being met with many boycotts and backlash. You have to give them props. Personally, I don’t hate his USWNT (although I find Megan Rapinoe a bit annoying). I hope they (again) bring the trophy back to America, but that’s just me.
So… congratulations, everyone! Stop being political.
