Utah coach probed for sex assault comment to female students
A hard-nosed volleyball coach is likely to be browsing LinkedIn this weekend after he told his female student-athletes that any future sexual assaults he faces will be their fault.
School officials in Park City, Utah, have placed Kai Nielsen on administrative leave while the district investigates the allegations against him.
Nielsen, who coaches high school girls, has been barred from practicing or playing at the team while the incident is investigated.

The inappropriate and shockingly ignorant remarks were allegedly made while Nielsen was speaking to students about accountability issues. The Salt Lake Tribune reported..
“If you have been sexually assaulted, that is your own fault,” Nielsen reportedly said.
A teacher confirmed to the newspaper that Nielsen made the shocking claim.
A parent whose child listened to Nielsen's speech first filed a complaint with district leaders.
An email to parents reviewed by the Tribune said it was unclear how long the investigation would take.

Local police are also said to be involved.
School officials have already interviewed several students, according to the Tribune.
Nielsen did not respond to a message from The Washington Post seeking comment.
Nielsen has coached volleyball at Park City High School for more than 10 years and was recently promoted to head varsity coach. KPCW reported.
