Utah demolition crew saves abandoned litter of baby raccoons

A herd of abandoned raccoons found at a construction site in northern Utah found new homes earlier this week after construction workers found the raccoons under the wreckage of a demolished home.

Eight raccoon cubs appeared to be motherless. Firefighters looked after them until a person with a raccoon license offered to take them in.

In Utah, a permit is required to keep exotic species such as raccoons and coyotes, which are frequent wild roamers.
