Utah Woman Who Killed Friend in Suicide Pact Charged with Murder

A 21-year-old Utah woman has been arrested on suspicion of killing her friend, but investigators believe it was an unfinished suicide promise the two had been planning for weeks.

Family members interviewed by investigators also said Garfield had been discussing the arrangement with the victim for several weeks.

Garfield remains in jail without bail and faces charges of murder and failure to possess a firearm.
