New Contract Between UW Health and Anthem Blue Cross

Madison, Wisconsin – A new annual contract has been established between UW Health and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

This agreement guarantees that members of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Wisconsin will continue to have access to affordable care without interruption. This includes services from UW Hospitals and Clinics, the UW Medical Foundation, Madison Surgery Center, UW Health Fertility Treatment, UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital, UW Health Care Direct, among others.

The contract covers all Anthem members enrolled in employer-based Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and Affordable Care Act Marketplace Health Plans in Wisconsin.

“We believe it’s important for Anthem members to have access to high-quality, affordable healthcare, so both parties were committed to reaching a consensus,” remarked Paul Novile, the Wisconsin President.
