Longtime Hollywood star Valkilmer died of pneumonia on April 1st at the age of 65.

He played a wide range of roles in his career and was known to be charismatic because he was unpredictable. After becoming famous as an actor, he disappeared from the Hollywood spotlight for ten years to spend time with his family. Kilmer was best known for his work in “Batman Forever” and “Top Gun” and for playing Jim Morrison in “Doors.”

Kilmer made his feature film debut with “Top Secret!” (1984) and played a role in several iconic films, leaving behind a lasting mark in Hollywood.
His impressive list of credits includes Thunderheart, Saint, Salton Sea, Dr. Moreau, Wonderland, Twixt, Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, Tombstone, Heat, Ghost and Darkness, and Mallock. He recreated his role in the short cameo of the 2022 sequel, Top Gun: Maverick.

In 2021, Kilmer was the subject of “Val,” a documentary about him, collaborating with decades of archival footage, and his children influenced him as an associate producer. His son Jack was also the narrator. The film won several awards, including the Best Historical or Biographical Documentary Critics Choice Award.
Kilmer's undeniable talent as an actor was clear from a young age. He made history as one of the youngest students to enroll at Juilliard School in New York at the age of 17, and continued his Broadway debut in 1983.
