Valerie Bertinelli is a woman in love.
The actress and TV personality has opened up about her new relationship, explaining how she went from imagining herself being single for the rest of her life to accepting a new man into her heart. .
“I want to be clear that this process has been a long time coming,” Bertinelli told People magazine in a new interview. “I started being more intentional about my healing.” That meant taking lots of walks together. “This cookbook was a byproduct of the emotional and spiritual healing that I’ve been doing,” she explained in an interview, before adding, “I know I’m talking about cookbooks, but this Cookbooks helped me get through everything,” she added.
After doing a lot of emotional work, she learned to love herself again and in doing so was able to open herself up to being loved by others.

Her new boyfriend, whom she declined to name, is a writer who lives on the East Coast. She met him on Instagram a few years ago and they started talking.
“It was strictly platonic,” she said. “But there was something about him that I felt close to and connected with.”

Earlier this year, Bertinelli and his new girlfriend started calling each other offline. From there, things got romantic.
“This comfort level is insane,” she exclaimed. “It feels incredibly right.”
“I’m in love,” she admitted. “It’s been a see-saw of emotions because I had firmly decided that I would never fall in love again. I was supposed to die with my six cats and my dog and live the rest of my life happily alone, so I was alone. It’s okay.”

Still, she seems very happy with her new love, revealing: “My stomach is flipping. It wasn’t supposed to be like this.”

The “Hot in Cleveland” star has spoken out on numerous occasions about the difficulties he faced in his marriage to Vitale, and in a 2022 interview on the “Today” show, he told Hoda Kotb that their love was over. even spoke.
“I’m so happy to be happily divorced and able to spend the rest of my life alone,” she said. “Then I’ll be happy. Well, with my six cats, my dog, my son, and hopefully my grandchildren someday.”
