Valley Fair theme park in Minnesota is not offering refunds despite closing three rides and all parking lots due to flooding.
According to a statement from Valley Fair, the amusement park, located between the Minnesota River and Blue Lake, was flooded below the “peak.”
“Based on forecasts, the Minnesota River will crest on Saturday, June 29th. It is not yet clear how long it will take for the river to drop to normal levels as this is weather dependent,” Valley Fair said on its FAQ page.

Popular attractions Excalibur, Thunder Canyon and Renegade are closed due to flooding, and nearly all of the site’s parking lots are underwater.
Valleyfair will provide buses at no charge to guests at the Canterbury Overflow Lot, Eagle Creek Park and Ride and Southbridge Crossing Park and Ride.

Hours of operation have been modified to 10am-9pm until further notice and a “temporary gate entrance” is in use. Re-entry into the park is strongly discouraged.
According to Valleyfair’s FAQ page, “Due to extremely limited space and capacity at the temporary park entrances, re-entry will be denied to all guests, including season passholders, on the days affected by flooding.”

The Fourth of July fireworks display scheduled for next week has also been postponed until “later this season,” although an official date has yet to be decided.
Valleyfair amusement park is not offering refunds at this time due to their weather impact policy: “Valleyfair will not offer refunds for tickets affected by weather unless customers select the ticket insurance option.”
“However, if guests would like to reschedule their visit to a different date using our guest portal, we are offering them the opportunity to select a different date with a similar rate,” the statement read.
