Vice President JD Vance presented a lighthearted offer to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, aiming to motivate Democrats to assist in reopening the government.

This marked the first government closure in six years, primarily due to Democrats not supporting the Republican’s nonpartisan funding bill.
