Vanessa Bryant seems to be addressing the recent speculation about her being pregnant.
This past Sunday, the widow of the late NBA icon Kobe Bryant shared a meme from Rihanna on Instagram Stories. The meme shows the singer holding a drink while making a gesture with her middle finger.
The caption said, “I’m keeping peace, not pregnant and enjoying it all summer.”
Vanessa’s repost comes amid unfounded rumors circulating about the possibility of her expecting a fifth child, five years after Kobe’s untimely passing.
No evidence or confirmation has emerged regarding these rumors.
Kobe Bryant tragically lost his life in a helicopter accident in Calabasas, California, on January 26, 2020. The incident claimed the lives of nine people, including Vanessa’s 13-year-old daughter, Gianna “Gigi” Bryant.
At the time of his death, Kobe was 41 years old.
Vanessa, who is now 43, shares three other daughters with Kobe: Natalia, 22; Bianca, 8; and Capri, 5.
Since Kobe’s death, Vanessa hasn’t publicly dated anyone.
The couple had been married since April 2001.
Recently, she honored their 24th wedding anniversary on April 18 by posting nostalgic photos from past red carpet events together.
Last year, on what would have been Kobe’s 46th birthday on August 23, Vanessa shared a heartfelt tribute. She wrote, “I love you forever and forever forever,” alongside images of her kissing Kobe’s cheek.
On May 2, Vanessa announced the establishment of the Gianna Bryant Scholarship Award, marking what would have been Gianna’s 19th birthday.
This year, Gigi, a freshman in college, was looking forward to playing basketball for the UConn women’s basketball team. In January 2020, the team had even praised Gigi before one of their games in the wake of that tragic accident.
