This is “the start of something new” for Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker.
On Wednesday, what would have been Tucker’s 28th birthday, the couple were photographed leaving a hospital in Santa Monica, California, with their first child.
The baby’s gender and exact birth date are unknown.
In the photos obtained by Page Six, Hudgens can be seen sitting in a wheelchair, holding her baby girl in her arms, while the baseball star follows close behind carrying his bag and belongings.
The 35-year-old actress wore black sweatpants and a light blue button-down shirt, while Tucker opted for a teal graphic hoodie, black shorts and sandals.
As the trio was escorted by hospital staff to their car, Hudgens made sure to wear sunglasses.
At one point, she holds the baby up to her cheek for a tender moment.
Despite her busy day, the new mum still found time to post a tribute message on Instagram in honour of the athlete’s big day.
“Happy birthday to my heavenly place @cotuck 🥳 The world is brighter just by being you ♥️🤟🏽,” she said. she captioned the sweet carousel..
The “High School Musical” star initially kept her pregnancy news secret, waiting to show off her belly until she appeared on the red carpet at the Oscars in March.
She wore a black Vera Wang dress at the time, but later that night she again showed off her plump belly in a sheer, off-the-shoulder ensemble.
Hudgens continued to show off her maternity style in subsequent social media posts, Photos taken during a trip to Disneyland And also for date night.
The singer and Tucker got engaged in February 2023 after two years of dating.
Hudgens, who was previously in relationships with Austin Butler and “HSM” co-star Zac Efron, married the Colorado Rockies player in December of that year.
Their secret wedding took place in Tulum, Mexico.
Ahead of her nuptials, the Disney Channel actress refuted online rumors about a possible pregnancy.
“I’m not pregnant so you can all just stop,” she wrote in October 2023 after donning loose-fitting clothing during her bachelorette weekend in Aspen.
When Hudgens confirmed she was pregnant five months later, she wasn’t the only “HSM” cast member expecting a baby.
Ashley Tisdale, who played Sharpay Evans on the series, announced to her Instagram followers that same month that she was pregnant with her second child.

Tisdale’s followers were overjoyed that she and Hudgens, who plays Gabriella Montez, were adding to their family at the same time, with one commenting: “The next generation of Wildcats is coming!!!”
