Verizon customers could get $100 each thanks to new settlement: Who qualifies, how to get paid

(NEXSTAR) – Verizon customers may be entitled to a portion of the $100 million the company agreed to pay to settle a class action lawsuit.

The lawsuit alleges that Verizon customers were charged management fees as part of a “deceptive scheme.” Verizon denies wrongdoing, but has agreed to pay up to $100 per person to affected users.

The group of eligible people includes all current or former Verizon customers in the United States who “receive postpaid wireless or data service from Verizon and paid an administrative fee during January 1, 2014. and/or the person who invoiced and paid the administrative and communication restoration fees.” 2016 and November 8, 2023. ”
