Vicious anti-gay email sent to wife of WNBA superstar Breanna Stewart

An anonymous homophobe sent a vicious anti-gay email to the wife of WNBA superstar Brianna Stewart, and apparently it's not the first time, The Post has learned.

Stewart's wife, former professional basketball player Marta Zergei Casademont, went to the NYPD's 78th Precinct in Brooklyn on Thursday to report the heinous emails. The email said: [sic]I hope they both die,'' a police source said.

Officials added that an NBA security memo said the email was sent from an internet address associated with other hateful communications, including death threats, bomb threats and more racist rhetoric. Ta.

A representative for Mr. Stewart's team, the New York Liberty, did not respond to The Post's request for comment.

Casademont, a 33-year-old former athlete who was born in Spain and won a silver medal with Spain's national team at the 2016 Summer Olympics, married Stewart in July 2021.

The couple have two children.
