Vicious Vicki Set for Return at ACW Championship Match
Vicious Vicki is making her way back across the state line into New Jersey, gearing up for a return to the ring in Saturday’s Awesome Championship Wrestling (ACW) Women’s Championship battle royal. She’ll be among ten contenders vying to challenge current champion Steph de Lander. Recently, Vicki pinned de Lander during a recent tag team match, granting her a slight edge over the champion. However, the stakes are higher this time around at the MJN Center in Poughkeepsie, New York.
In a recent chat, Vicki expressed her frustrations with how she’s been treated in the wrestling scene. “I’ve been part of ACW since it started. Sure, I call myself the ‘Queen of ACW,’ but honestly, I’ve felt overlooked and underestimated,” she shared. “There are ten other women in that ring who, well, maybe shouldn’t be there. It’s my time to prove why I deserve to be the ACW Women’s Champion.”
She’s aware of the challenges ahead, noting, “I need to earn my spot, but there have been countless times I should have been in the title picture. This Saturday will be another chance to show why I’m the best.”
Vicki hails from New Jersey and has always been passionate about wrestling. She reminisced about the moment she fell in love with the sport, which was after watching a match featuring WWE Hall of Famer Lita and the Hardy Boyz during the Attitude Era. “Ever since then, it’s been a dream to become a wrestler,” she said. “From a young age, I was captivated by it all.” There was a distinct blend of sports, drama, and style that resonated with her.
“As a kid, I was just watching these spectacular athletes perform,” Vicki reflected. “I loved the combination of acting and athleticism—it was a perfect mix. Over the years, new interests emerged, but wrestling always seemed to pull me back, as if I was destined to be part of this larger-than-life show.”
She added, “For die-hard wrestling fans, it’s more than just what happens in the ring. It’s about the stories and connections we build with the performers. Seeing someone like Lita inspired me—if she could do it, then why not me?”
Looking ahead to Saturday’s event, Vicki believes ACW fans are in for something special. “ACW is buzzing right now. It’s one of the biggest independent promotions out there, and they really have it all. The venue is historic, and the talent is some of the best in the world,” she noted. “Every time I attend a show, the excitement is palpable. People are genuinely thrilled to be there, and it has a real family vibe.”
