Documents Released by National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard
National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard has made a substantial amount of documents public, clearly organized into various categories.
The new information lays out how the Obama administration’s intelligence efforts and investigations worked to undermine the Trump campaign in 2016. Additionally, it details how these actions impeded President Trump’s transition from 2016 to 2017 and affected his first three years in office.
These documents add fresh insights to what many have accepted as common knowledge over the last ten years.
Reports from Congressional Committees, Special Prosecutors, and Inspectors have largely confirmed the overarching narrative of wrongdoing that began during 2015-16.
Supported by agencies like the FBI and CIA, Hillary Clinton’s campaign aimed to spread the unfounded narrative that Trump had conspired with Russia to win the election unfairly.
When their campaign strategies failed to alter the outcome in 2016, the Obama administration intensified efforts during the transition to undermine Trump’s presidency. (Related: Tulsi Gabbard refers Obama for criminal charges)
Special advisor Robert Mueller’s “All-Star” legal team couldn’t find evidence of a conspiracy between Trump and Putin to manipulate the election. Yet, the probe lasted 22 months, riddled with incessant leaks and rumors about Trump facing imminent conviction as a “Russian asset.”
By 2020, intelligence officials absurdly claimed that Hunter Biden’s controversial laptop was part of “all goals” related to alleged Russian interference.
So, what are the key takeaways from Gabbard’s latest document release?
Well, prior to Trump taking office, Obama held a peculiar meeting with his intelligence team.
Contrary to the long-standing Democratic narrative that all 18 intelligence agencies had confirmed Russian interference, it turns out the top directors told Obama they hadn’t found any evidence of a conspiracy with Trump and Putin.
However, Obama reportedly directed them to overlook those assessments. Subsequently, they began promoting the narrative of Trump colluding with Russia.
Leaking continued, escalating media frenzy ensued, and soon Mueller’s investigative team targeted Trump.
Newly released information suggests that, for quite some time, the CIA under Brennan was puzzled by the false accusations of collusion coming from Clinton and the Obama administration.
While Russian operatives, like those from China, do engage in actions meant to disrupt American systems—like hacking emails and spreading misinformation—they were likely baffled by the false claims of collusion that boomeranged back on them.
Obama insists that these allegations undermine the dignity of his presidency.
However, the new information doesn’t exactly contradict this. He should have dismissed the idea of conspiracy in December 2016 and denied ever instructing his intelligence chiefs to pursue such narratives. Between 2015 and 2020, endeavors from the Clinton Campaign, Obama’s appointees, and their media connections significantly harmed the 2016 Trump Campaign.
They obstructed the 2017 presidential transition.
They targeted President Trump.
And they may have negatively impacted Trump’s chances in the 2020 election.
In summary, the fallout from the alleged Trump-Putin conspiracy includes:
- Encouraging “experts” in 2020 to falsely assert that Hunter Biden’s laptop was another phony product of Russian interference aimed at aiding Trump’s re-election.
- The media also played a role. Journalists collaborated with both current and former Obama officials, disseminating misleading documents like the Steele Dossier and coordinating with platforms such as Twitter and Facebook. During the 2020 campaign, the FBI and social media attempted to censor factual news stories affirming the authenticity of the laptop.
- These operations could have far-reaching ramifications for U.S. foreign policy. While authoritarian Russia is a recognized foe, falsely claiming their direct involvement in U.S. elections has damaged Trump’s credibility in fostering sustainable ties with nuclear powers.
Furthermore, the deceptive practices by officials from the Obama era and Clinton’s campaign have undermined U.S. credibility among foreign entities, including Russia.
Although figures like Obama, Brennan, Clapper, and Comey might not face legal repercussions for their actions, it doesn’t eliminate the importance of uncovering and revealing the entire truth.
