Victoria Beckham Discusses Family Dynamics

Victoria Beckham reveals a more traditional side to her family life than many might expect. In a recent interview, she shared, “We like to spend time together. We are a very traditional family, far more than people notice.”

Married to former football star David Beckham since 1999, she spoke about her efforts to create a protective environment at family dinners. “I’ve always tried to be the best mom and wife I could,” she added.

Beckham also expressed joy in watching her children support her during her eponymous clothing line’s fashion shows. “That’s what we do. We all support each other. We always show up for each other,” she explained. She believes it’s important for kids to see both parents working, saying, “Working makes me the best version of me.”

Last year, while chatting with Nicole Kidman, Beckham reflected on the pride she feels for her family. She reminisced about a recent family trip, noting, “We left with our three children… It’s very difficult to balance it.” She admitted that juggling motherhood and her career was challenging, especially when her children were young.

Beckham spoke about her evolving relationship with her children, recognizing that they are naturally gaining independence. “Even Harper, 13, has her own friendship group and she loves to do her own thing,” she noted, suggesting that they’re entering a new chapter in their lives.

The couple’s four children—Brooklyn, 26; Romeo, 23; Cruz, 20; and Harper, 14—are frequently in the spotlight. Despite rumors of tensions between Victoria, David, Brooklyn, and his wife, Nicola Peltz, Beckham has downplayed any conflicts, especially following Brooklyn’s recent pledge ceremony.

Reflecting on family dynamics, Beckham commented, “There’s tension,” referencing Brooklyn’s relationship with Nicola and some missed family events. However, she also noted that they love and support each other, insisting that misunderstandings are part of family life.

She added that while she didn’t have a large staff—just a nanny and supportive parents—she sometimes felt like she was juggling too many roles. “You’re trying to be the best wife, the best mom, the best professional,” she revealed.

As the children grow, Beckham feels a shift toward this new phase of life, where they, indeed, are beginning to carve their own paths.

Through it all, no matter the challenges, Victoria Beckham remains resolute in her commitment to family and her work, cherishing each moment as they navigate their evolving world together.
