Victoria Beckham's 'inappropriate' dance at Brooklyn's wedding overshadowed by another 'awkward' moment

Awkward Moments at Brooklyn Beckham’s Wedding

Victoria Beckham’s wedding dance with her son Brooklyn Beckham has drawn attention for being labeled “inappropriate,” but it seems it wasn’t the only awkward moment during the festivities.

DJ Fat Tony, who provided music for the wedding and related events, described the brunch following the ceremony as the “most awkward part” of the three-day celebration. He noted that what transpired at the wedding was openly discussed among guests the next morning.

Recently, Brooklyn shared on his Instagram Story some surprising remarks about his family dynamics. He mentioned feeling that his mother “hijacked” his first dance with his wife, Nicola Peltz. This moment, he claimed, left Peltz “uncomfortable” and feeling “humiliated.”

In that post, Brooklyn explained that Marc Anthony invited him on stage in front of a large crowd, altering the scheduled romantic moment with Peltz. Instead of taking the floor with his bride, Anthony called Victoria up to dance with her son, which caught him off guard.

DJ Fat Tony confirmed Brooklyn’s comments, explaining that after Brooklyn was summoned to the stage, everyone expected Nicola to join him for the first dance. However, Anthony’s request for Victoria to come up as “the most beautiful woman in the room” shifted the entire dynamic. According to Tony, Brooklyn was visibly shocked, while Nicola ended up leaving in tears.

Moreover, Anthony guided the mother-son pair through the dance, reportedly suggesting Brooklyn “put your hands together near your mom’s back.” While Tony acknowledged that this might be typical in Latin culture, he admitted it was still an uncomfortable scenario for onlookers.

As for the term “inappropriate,” Tony clarified that Victoria wasn’t exhibiting behavior that could be considered overtly provocative. A recent insider noted that rather, she was warmly affectionate, embracing Brooklyn closely.

Throughout his career, Tony has DJed many Beckham family events and described them as a close-knit, dance-loving group. However, he supported Brooklyn’s use of “inappropriate,” asserting that the interpretation is ultimately about Brooklyn’s feelings.

Tony also reflected on the difficulty of publicly discussing family grievances, suggesting Brooklyn wanted to reshape the narrative around himself, especially with the label of being a “nepobaby.” Notably, Victoria has yet to publicly respond to her son’s comments.

She and her husband, David Beckham, have three other children: Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.
