The Socialism 2026 Conference is set to begin in Chicago, Illinois, as leftist groups aim to steer the nation toward communism.
According to the conference’s website, this four-day gathering will “bring together activists, organizers, and communities” from across the United States and beyond.
The site emphasizes that “Socialism is the place for both seasoned radicals and new activists to sharpen analysis, hone strategy, and build community.”
Additionally, the event will include a “Marxism Education Series,” discussions on “Fighting Fascism,” and a session titled “Confronting Zionism: Decolonizing Palestine and Building the World Anew.”
Tickets for the “On-Site Standard Rate” are priced at 155 dollars.
Notably, far-left commentator Hasan Piker, known for his admiration of Mao Zedong, will be a speaker at the conference, as indicated in the schedule.
The event has received endorsements from organizations such as the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), Organized Communities Against Deportations, and the Black Rose Anarchist Federation.
Recently, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) criticized the DSA, describing them as “deeply anti-American,” according to Breitbart News.
“They’re deeply anti-capitalism. They’re deeply anti-the American way of life,” he stated.
In August, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) expressed concerns about the growing trend of socialism among Democratic candidates, especially with the midterm elections on the horizon. He elaborated on Karl Marx’s beliefs:

This system fails, invariably leading to poverty, destruction, political violence, and human suffering. That’s the narrative of communism. When candidates campaign, promising free benefits to the youth, it’s alluring. But they aren’t told they might have to surrender their freedoms in return. This election starkly contrasts these ideologies for the American people.
Johnson concluded, “These insurgent left candidates are winning the Democrat primaries all across the country. The situation is quite serious.”
