Florida police used drones and SWAT personnel to arrest four suspects just minutes after an armed robbery at a Dollar General store.

Jacksonville Sheriff TK Waters told reporters. media briefing Three men and a woman used guns to steal approximately $11,000 from a Dollar General store in Jacksonville on Tuesday, police said.

“They won’t do that anymore. It’s not in our city,” Waters said.

Police said the group used the same technique in the four armed robberies, waiting until just before the store was closed to attack. In all four robberies, the getaway car, a white Dodge Charger, was occupied by one person and three people armed with guns entered the store.

Waters said he alerted other Dollar General employees to the robbery and used undisclosed technology to identify potential suspects and vehicles.

“It’s life-changing… They’re scared to death.”

After the fourth robbery occurred on May 1, the four led police on a brief chase before being arrested. Only one shot was fired during the incident.police they said they found it A ski mask was stolen from inside the vehicle, along with three guns and $3,500 in cash and merchandise.

The four suspects were identified as 25-year-old Jakaitya Daniel, 26-year-old Jakeli Lewis, 23-year-old Nathaniel Carter, and 24-year-old Tresonda Benefield.

Police also served search warrants on the homes of two of the suspects and found boxes of clothing and latex gloves matching those used in previous robberies.

No one was arrested or injured in the robbery, but two of the employees involved in the robbery never returned to work.

“It’s life-changing. It affects the way you look at things for a very long time afterward,” said Tom Hackney, a former executive and legal analyst for WJXT-TV. “They are scared to death.”

WJXT obtained surveillance footage of the robbery and drone footage of the arrest.

Waters said the officer’s shooting during the arrest was under administrative review, but said only that it was likely justified because one of the suspects pointed a gun at the officer.

“The suspects could have lost their lives, and it was the right thing for the officers to use force in that case,” he said.

A spokesperson for Dollar General’s corporate office issued the following brief statement regarding the incident:

“We are committed to providing a safe environment for our employees and customers. We have invested in a variety of security measures tailored to each store. To protect the integrity of these measures, we provide detailed information on I will not comment publicly.”

The four suspects were charged with first-degree felony armed robbery.
