Transgender Murderer Confesses to Killing Parents
A newly revealed interrogation video displays the chilling moment a transgender individual admits to shooting his parents. The motive? Disagreements over gender reassignment surgery.
In June 2024, Gail and Joseph Bailey were discovered dead in their Washington, Utah home. Their child, Mia Bailey, confessed to the murders during an interrogation, and nearly two years later, footage of this confession came to light.
“I have no regrets. I hate them,” Bailey stated while being questioned by police.
The video showcases a calm demeanor at times, even as Bailey discusses firing several shots aimed at the couple. It’s a tense, disturbing glimpse into a tragedy where Bailey’s brother was also shot but managed to escape and call for help.
According to court documents, Bailey expressed that their parents were attempting to “sabotage” her surgery. Although born male, Bailey had undergone a name change, identifying as female prior to the incident.
In December, Bailey was sentenced to two consecutive life terms with a minimum of 25 years to life after pleading guilty to aggravated murder and assault. This case raises complex questions about family dynamics, mental health, and the impact of unresolved conflicts.
