Newly released footage shows Kamala Harris, then a Democratic senator from California, chanting “End deportations” at a parade in Los Angeles in 2018, when she was pursuing a more aggressive left-leaning stance on immigration.
The video, obtained by Fox News Digital, was taken at the 2018 Kingdom Day Parade, where she was named grand marshal.
In the video, she is seen singing along, clapping and smiling, as she joins in the chant “Improve education, end deportations.”

Harris embraced left-wing ideas during the 2019 presidential primary. She Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) The executive order provides protections to illegal immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as minors.

Since becoming a potential 2024 presidential candidate, she has faced intense scrutiny over her role in overseeing the root causes of the migrant crisis at the southern border, which has led to her being dubbed the “border czar.”
She has also shifted some of her campaign positions to become more centrist, and her campaign confirmed to Fox earlier this month that she has changed her positions on several immigration and border security policies, including decriminalizing illegal border crossings and closing migrant detention centers.

A Harris campaign adviser told Fox her position was “formed by three years of effective governance as part of the Biden-Harris administration.”
The campaign now says she will “continue to enforce the law, prioritize the detention and deportation of individuals who pose a threat to public safety and national security, and ensure adequate resources to ensure compliance with immigration proceedings and decisions, including deportations.”
