New video shows a gunman accused of leaving a teenage girl covered in blood in a midnight attempted rape just steps from Gracie Mansion.
The alleged sex offender was seen on surveillance cameras wandering the streets of the Upper East Side around the same time that the 19-year-old girl was stalked and pinned to the ground.
In a video shared by the NYPD, A slim, bearded man wearing a white shirt and carrying a black umbrella was casually walking down the sidewalk.
Another photo shows what appears to be the same person wearing a black shirt sprinting across the crosswalk.
In a third photo, a man previously described by officers as 6 feet tall stops on the sidewalk, checks his cell phone and suspiciously looks over his shoulder multiple times before walking away.
Police believe this is the same man who tried to rape a young woman around 1:20 a.m. near East 90th Street and East End, but was chased away by a brave doorman who heard his screams.
“This young woman was on the floor crying desperately, with blood on her shirt and nose,” doorman Hector Mateo told The Post.
The suspect fled westbound on East 90th Street and is still experiencing high winds.
The victim was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Cornell Medical Center in stable condition, police said.
