On Thursday, D4vd was arrested and taken away from his residence in handcuffs, flanked by LAPD officers.

Footage acquired by California Post shows the singer walking through a neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills, hands restrained behind him.

Los Angeles police raided the home where the artist was staying earlier that day. Witnesses noticed a significant police presence shortly before his arrest, with one officer reportedly shouting “Surrender!” over a loudspeaker.

The singer, whose name is actually David Anthony Burke, had been out of the public eye for months. When he was apprehended, he was dressed in gray sweatpants and a black hoodie, showing little emotion.

Authorities confirmed that they arrived at his home with a warrant for his arrest. “We were closely monitoring him, and when we established probable cause for his arrest on murder charges, we intensified our observation,” said Lt. Scott M. Williams of the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division.

The LAPD declared that Burke is being held without bail on suspicion of murdering Celeste Rivas. The dismembered body of a 14-year-old was discovered in the back seat of D4vd’s Tesla in September, after a tow yard employee reported a foul odor emanating from the vehicle.

“Detectives have arrested David Burke, 21, of Los Angeles on suspicion of murdering Celeste Rivas. The case will be reviewed by the District Attorney’s Office on Monday,” stated an LAPD release.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office acknowledged Burke’s arrest, noting that the Major Crimes Unit will evaluate the evidence to determine if charges can be filed. “Further details are not available at this moment, but updates will be provided on Monday,” the statement added.

Celeb Rivas was just 14 years old when her family reported her missing in April 2025, and her dismembered remains were later found in D4vd’s Tesla.
