A violent shootout unfolded on the streets of a Florida suburb as a gunman was caught on camera opening fire, raining down dozens of bullets on homes and cars, terrorizing residents.
“Bullets were flying,” said one neighbour, who asked not to be named. NBC South Florida “And I say ‘flying’ because they were actually flying,” he said of the shocking scene that unfolded in Miami Gardens late Saturday night.
Video footage of the attack obtained by local blog Only in Dade shows what appears to be a man with an assault rifle running down the pavement, ducking for cover and firing multiple shots at the off-camera gunman, who can be heard returning fire.
The gunman runs back and forth exchanging gunfire with an unseen attacker before disappearing from the camera’s view while more intense gunfire can be heard. When the shooting stops, the gunman gets into a moving car and retreats out of frame.

Local newspapers reported that more than 100 shots were fired, leaving windows shattered, exteriors of homes riddled with bullet holes, and cars riddled with bullet holes.
Surprisingly, no one appears to have been injured in the shootout, according to authorities, but a motive has yet to be determined. Miami Gardens police did not respond to The Washington Post’s request for comment on Monday.
Miami Gardens has a population of approximately 110,000 and is located about 16 miles north of Miami.
