Video shows Florida woman smirking after arrest for alleged drowning of 14-year-old daughter in bathtub

Florida police are women arrested He allegedly drowned his 14-year-old daughter in a bathtub while threatening others with a hammer.

Video from the news station showed Kelsey Glover, 35, being led into a patrol car by a police officer and appearing to grin as she answered questions from reporters.

“What happened to her is unimaginable and we are determined to get justice.”

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office said its officers responded Wednesday morning to a report of an armed disturbance at a residence in Poinciana.

Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez said in a media briefing that officers tackled Glover, who was armed with a hammer and tried to hit a witness who tried to stop the drowning.

“Witnesses also told deputies they saw Glover in the bathtub holding his 14-year-old daughter's head underwater.” Lopez said. “They tried to stop her but were unsuccessful. Eventually, Ms. Glover attacked these witnesses with a hammer and began chasing them around the house.”

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Lopez said there were two other people in the house at the time of the incident, in addition to Glover and her daughter. They were the other child and second adult living in the home.

Glover was initially charged only with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery, but Lopez said he plans to add more felonies after the medical examiner determines the girl's cause of death.

Lopez said there was only one other police call to the residence where Glover allegedly punched the victim's father. He obtained an injunction against Grover.

“It's a dark day when something like this happens,” Lopez said. “What happened to her is unimaginable and we are determined to get justice.”

The sheriff went on to say that Glover was uncooperative and police are still trying to determine why she allegedly killed her daughter. She said she had no previous criminal history.

The suspect only swore at reporters while being led away. in a video posted on social media.
