Surveillance video shows District Judge Kevin Mullins trying to hide under his desk as Letcher County Sheriff Sean Stines apparently tried to shoot him.
Breitbart News reported that Stines is accused of shooting Mullins multiple times inside the judge's chambers on September 19, 2024.
A heated argument ensued prior to the shooting.
October 4, 2024, New York Post noticed Surveillance video showed Stines allegedly pulling out a gun and pointing it at Mullins' head after the argument.
Mullins raised his hands and tried to turn away, and at one point tried to hide under a desk. “The sheriff then approached the judge who was under his desk, shot him twice at close range, and exited the courtroom where Mullins had served for 15 years.”
The subject of the argument that preceded the shooting was not disclosed, but Kentucky Detective Clayton Stamper confirmed that “Stines' daughter's phone number was stored on the judge's cell phone.”
As Breitbart News reported in September, “Steines turned himself in to authorities, was arrested without incident, and is cooperating with investigators.”
