Dramatic video has been released of the moment a Massachusetts ambulance driver narrowly avoided a rollover crash on Interstate 95 in winter weather.
Cataldo Emergency Services tells TMX News that EMT Tim Crosby was behind the wheel Tuesday transporting a patient to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston when he witnessed the crash on Interstate 95 South in Peabody. Told.
“The next thing I see out of the corner of my left eye is a car coming across the median,” Crosby told NBC Boston. “Basically, towards me.”
Dashcam video shows Crosby swerving the ambulance to avoid colliding with a white sedan that had rolled across the freeway, scattering debris.

“When you’re living through this, it’s like slow motion,” Tim Wareham, a paramedic who was treating patients in the back of the ambulance, NBC Boston reported, told the station. “It was coming right at us.”
Ambulance crews then stopped and waited for help to arrive before heading to Boston, where the patient was safely transported to a hospital, TMX News reported.
Massachusetts State Police told NBC Boston that the driver of a white sedan lost control while traveling northbound on Interstate 95 around 12:15 p.m.
