A pregnant woman went into labor and gave birth on a plane in Istanbul just before takeoff.
Footage from earlier this month shows passengers cheering and looking at the mother and paramedics during the birth. according to Daily Mail.
According to the newspaper, the mother suffered unexpected labor pains as the Pegasus Airlines plane was making final preparations for takeoff. The plane was at Sabiha Gokcen International Airport in Istanbul, Turkey, heading to Marseille, France.
The video shows paramedics walking quickly around the plane to help the woman. One passenger is seen collecting baby clothes from other passengers to give to her mother.

Flight attendants gave the woman initial first aid, the Daily Mail reported, citing local reports. The woman was taken to another part of the aircraft, where doctors assisted her with the birth process.
The baby was taken to the hospital by ambulance, the report said.

According to NBC, the baby was born two hours before the plane landed. The mother and child were picked up by paramedics in Dulles, Virginia.
“We were especially thrilled to see the plane land with one extra beautiful passenger on board,” United Airlines said in a statement, according to the newspaper.
