This afternoon, the Winter Olympic women’s ice hockey tournament continues with Canada facing off against the Czech Republic.
Canada’s participation in the tournament began a bit later than anticipated. Their original first match was supposed to be against Finland, but they had to withdraw because of a norovirus outbreak in their team. Instead, Canada had its first game on Saturday, February 7th, winning decisively against Switzerland with a score of 4-0. The team’s offense was impressive, utilizing four different scorers, while the defense effectively restricted Switzerland to just six shots on goal.
