The Minnesota Vikings released a statement condemning “anti-Semitism and Islamophobia” on the one-year anniversary of Hamas' horrific attack on Israel that left nearly 1,500 people dead or taken hostage.
The Vikings posted a statement Monday morning condemning Hamas' “reprehensible” attack on X.
“Today, we mark the first anniversary of the reprehensible Hamas attack on Israel and mourn all the innocent lives lost in this ongoing conflict. We stand behind anti-Semitism and Islamophobia. We know that we must work resolutely to confront the rising tide of violence and combat all forms of hatred. I sincerely hope.”
“In the year since, Israel has destroyed Hamas in Gaza, begun to drive Hezbollah terrorists from its northern border, destroyed facilities in Yemen used by Houthi rebels, and destroyed Iran itself. threatened to attack,” Breitbart's Joel Pollack wrote.
“Israelis cannot continue their action past October 7 while Hamas still holds about 100 hostages. 34 of them are believed dead, but many are still alive. Public ceremonies and demonstrations in Israel on Monday emphasized the need to bring the hostages home, either through a diplomatic agreement or, if possible, by military rescue.
The Vikings' post prompted mixed reactions to X.
The Vikings are off to a 5-0 start and will receive a bye this week.
