Vikings' Rondale Moore might miss the season due to a devastating injury.

Rondale Moore managed to play just one snap.

His season might be over before it even began.

The 25-year-old receiver sustained a “pretty serious” injury to his left knee during the preseason game against the Texans, according to coach Kevin O’Connell.

O’Connell didn’t specify the exact nature of the injury, but he called it “heartbreaking.”

This setback follows a challenging previous year, where Moore missed the entire season due to a right knee injury sustained during training camp with the Falcons.

The injury this time happened during a punt return—Moore’s first play back since last year’s problem.

After being tackled by Jamal Hill, he quickly grabbed his left knee in obvious pain.

He was carried off the field, visibly frustrated, clapping his hands in dismay.

“As a head coach, that’s one of the hardest moments for me,” O’Connell shared. “I try to make positive impacts on others, but there’s really nothing I can do in such situations. It’s incredibly difficult.”

Originally drafted by the Cardinals in the second round back in 2021, Moore’s career has been marred by injuries.

In 2022, he only played eight games due to various health issues.

If he misses the season again, it would mean two consecutive seasons without participating in a regular season game.

“I need to review the play before I can provide more clarity,” O’Connell mentioned. “But it was definitely disappointing. It had some characteristics of a hip-drop tackle, though I understand there are multiple factors that determine the call. From what I saw, there didn’t appear to be any bad intentions.”
